Extensive repairs were necessary to the first floor due to settlement, damp penertration had caused serious damage to both the suspended timber ground floor and the solid floor to the front area had no DPM. Both defective floors were removed and a new DPC was injected. New bearer walls were constructed to reduce the span distances and to allow us to install the same size joists as the original in order to retain the same floor levels.
The defective concrete was removed to the front of the unit and levels were reduced to allow hardcore, a new Damp Proof Membrane, insulation and new slab to be laid.
